Blue marlin landed on target One in Vava'u , Tonga,
February 2005. The angler was the chef at the Paradise Hotel, Duri Tamata. Fish
weighed in at 312kg, a new Tongan record on 60kg line. This fish was caught
during the Vava'u Tuna Fest, Feb 2005, earning Duri the prize for the top marlin
angler.

Blue and striped marlin and sailfish have all been
on our catch record in the past year. Black Marlin and Spearfish are also
caught around Vava'u Islands.
This 109Kg Blue Marlin with an unusual curved bill was landed by Melissa in
September 1998 on 24Kg line.
Yellow fin Tuna come to feed on the smaller reef
fish of the Vava'u Island Group. This 65kg yellow fin was caught on "Target
One" in 1998. Henk, the owner and skipper of "Target One" will take you to
to the spots for big game fishing, or light tackle fishing, tropical reef
fishing and more
